Release of Fund for LLC (Leagal Guardianship Process)



Assistant Legal Advisor, National Trust, (Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India) has recently informed the approval of funds for the Local Level Committee based on the applications for Legal Guardianship fed in the online module and/or Quarterly Reports submitted.

Rs. 200/- is given per LG appointed and duly recorded in NDLGC to each of the non-official member of the LLC

All LLC Member, you are requested to provide the bank details of LLC i.e. Bank & Branch Name, Address, IFSC Code etc, duly verified by Chairperson, LLC so that this amount could be transferred electronically.

New Funding Pattern for Local Level Committees (Download)

The Board of the National Trust in its 49th meeting held on 4th April, 2012, has revised the funding to Local Level Committees which is as under:
  1. Rs. 200/- per LG appointed and duly recorded in NDLGC to each of the non-official member of the LLC   i.e. LLC-NGO member and LLC PwD member.
  2. Rs. 200/- per annum to each Legal Guardian for submitting the mandatory returns in the prescribed forms as specified in National Trust Rules, 2000 (Form C & D).
  3. Rs. 1000/- per annum to each LLC for sending the Quarterly Reports in the prescribed format. 
  4. Rs. 500/- for field visit/enquiry in each case fo Legal Gaurdianship.
  5. All the above amount shall be released paid through LLC on submission of performance reports. 
  6. National Trust reserves its rights to restrict the amount to any upper limit as and when required.
  7. The above funding pattern shall become effective from the financial year 2011-12.

History: Founded in 1987 as Special Olympics India and later changed to Special Olympics Bharat in 2001.

Mission Statement: To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with an intellectual disability, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community.

"Founded in 1968, the Special Olympic movement comes with a great impact that changes lives of those who are disabled and consider their life as a curse. Using sports as the medium, Special Olympics is fighting inactivity, injustice and intolerance."
After having a success in Pyeong Chang, South Korea in 2013 and in Athens, Greece in 2011, Special Olympics has returned to the United States after 16 years. Los Angeles will be hosting the event for the third time. India won 20 medals at Special Olympics 2013 where several athletes like Anishka Upadhyay, Raj Kumar Tiwari, Bipasha Mukherji, and Bharat Bhatia won Gold in Alpine Skiing, Figure Skating, Speed Skating and Snowshoeing respectively.

Varsha Mangal Mahotsav: Sevadham Ashram

We have this open invitation to join the annual Varsha Mangal Mahotsav, 2015. We urge every to participate in the even whole heartedly.


Sewadham Ashram is a nationally and internationally known organization that gives life time shelter and rehabilitation with due love care and compassion for children, young, old, disabled, mentally ill and dying destitute (from the age group of 0 to 100+ year) coming from every nook and corner of our beloved nation without any discrimination of religion, cast and creed since last 26 years those who are homeless or abandoned by their family and society.  Sewadham Ashram is established by Shri Sudhir Bhai Goyal in January 26th 1989 and is main project of Ujjaini Senior Citizen’s Forum (USCF) founded in January 26th 1986 by him. Sewadham’s main objective is “Manav sewa Madhav Sewa” i.e. serving the needy human is serving the God in real sense and Sewadham Logo means to provide social service through a ‘Pancha-Sheel’ Concept –  Sewa (service), Siksha (education), Swasthya (health), Swawlamban (self dependence), Sadbhav (communal harmony).

Also we would like to share the story of Indian Girl, Ashwini Atalkar, Differently abled, and suffering from mental disabilities since childhood, can run like the wind! She is all set to run the 100 metre sprint at the Special Olympics World Summer Games 2015.  American President Barack Obama is likely to be at the event which is organized by the Joseph Kennedy Junior Foundation for promoting sports for the intellectually challenged persons.


An Indian Contention
As reported in  NAGPURTODAY edition (+Rajeev nagpurtoday), Story of Ashwini, daughter of Vinayak Atalkar and his wife, Ashwini was not just intellectually challenged but physically fragile too. As her coach Vishal Naik recollects “When she came to us, she was very fragile and her hands were bent and locked. Initially, it was extremely difficult for us to train her. We made her undergo physiotherapy sessions. But she soon made amends, and herself took interest. She was very punctual and used to report for the practice before time.” Vishal is so impressed by her zeal he says ” Her determination and passion to excel is really amazing. Every youngster can learn from her”.families and fans.  

Ashwini had to first clear trials at district level, then state and nationals before clearing four preparatory camps where they grill the candidates under toughest of conditions. She travelled Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad for these trials. Her proud 43-year-old father gives credit for her success to her determination and her coach’s hard work.


Ashwini has ben helped by CAFE Ngo of Nagpur in meeting with her sporting and schooling goals.

Niramaya Health Insurance Scheme - National Trust

NIRAMAYA - Health Insurance Scheme (Revised Scheme w.e.f. April, 2015)

Objective

In order to enable and empower persons with developmental disability to live as independently and as fully as possible, health services and their access to persons with developmental disabilities assume a very significant role. In this context, the health insurance facility becomes important but presently such products are not easily available for persons with developmental disabilities. In such a situation, a health insurance scheme "Niramaya" is conceived with the following objectives.

  • To provide affordable Health Insurance to persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation & Multiple Disabilities.
  • To encourage health services seeking behavior among persons with developmental disability.
  • To improve the general health condition & quality of life of persons with developmental disability

Scheme & Its coverage
The scheme envisages to deliver comprehensive cover which will

  • Have a single premium across age band
  • Provide same coverage irrespective of the type of disability covered under the National Trust Act.
  • Insurance cover up to Rs.1.0 lakh.
  • All persons with developmental disabilities will be eligible and included and there will be no 'selection'.
  • The scheme will be available in the entire country except J&K.

The scheme further envisages that there shall be -

  • No exclusion of Pre-existing condition
  • Same cover as that for other persons
  • Services ranging from regular Medical Check-up to Hospitalization, Therapy to Corrective Surgery, Transportation.
  • Conditions requiring repetitive medical intervention as an in-patient.
  • Pre & Post hospitalization expenses, subject to limits.
  • No pre-insurance medical tests.
  • Reimbursement of claims in case of OPD services from any Qualified Medical Practitioner and for IPD treatment can be taken from a Hospital anywhere in the country.
