Rakhi Making with Love: A Special Bonding Experience

Objective: To provide a creative and inclusive platform for specially abled children to make their own Rakhis, promoting fine motor skills, creativity, and social bonding.

Materials:

  • - Colorful threads, beads, and strings
  • - Rakhi-making kits (adapted for special needs)
  • - Scissors, glue, and other craft supplies
  • - Assisting tools (e.g., specialized grips, adaptive scissors)

Workshop Structure:

  1. Introduction and Demonstration (10 minutes)
  2. Rakhi Making (40 minutes)
  3. Assistance and Support (as needed)
  4. Conclusion and Rakhi Exchange (20 minutes)

Adaptations for Specially Abled Children:

  • Use of assistive technology or adaptive tools
  • Simplified Rakhi designs
  • One-on-one assistance
  • Break tasks into smaller steps
