Samarth (Vikalp) Vihar was started alongside the special school and is described by the organisation as the only residential institution with boarding facilities for children with intellectual disabilities in Hoshangabad (Narmadapuram), Madhya Pradesh.

It has a capacity of 25 residents, drawn from weaker sections of society. During the day, residents take part in physiotherapy, skill development and small handicraft work.

A dedicated cook, a warden who is a qualified special educator, and a guard look after residents' needs around the clock.
