A partnership with Trash for Cash Society turns temple offerings into incense sticks and holi colours — work, income and a cleaner Narmada.
Flowers offered at temples in Hoshangabad were traditionally put into the river. Since 2014 they are collected first — cut, dried and turned into raw material.
Working with the Trash for Cash Society of Faridabad, founded by Dr. Madhumita Puri, learners make incense sticks and holi colours from that material, in association with AVACAYAM.
The organisation describes the benefit plainly: it generates earnings for the learners and the school, and it helps keep the River Narmada clean.
